The Big Band Jazz Maresme was founded in 2005 as a result of the shared passion of many musicians and jazz enthusiasts from the Maresme region, with the support of La Casa de la Música Popular. The Big Band is the quintessential jazz orchestra.
Today, big bands are experiencing a remarkable revival, thanks to the creativity of new composers and arrangers who keep this type of ensemble more vibrant than ever.
The Big Band Jazz Maresme has released two albums featuring collaborations with renowned soloists such as Fabrizio Bosso (trumpet) and Tricia Evy (vocals). It is currently working on the release of its third album with saxophonist Harry Allen. Additionally, it has participated in numerous jazz festivals and has hosted prestigious guests such as Carla Cook, Jesse Davis, and Eric Alexander, among others.
As part of the CAN REON – TRES DIES DE JAZZ de Tiana, the Big Band Jazz Maresme presents a very special concert featuring American trumpeter and singer Ronald Baker. With a solid career on the international jazz scene, Baker brings elegance and energy to the Big Band’s repertoire, delivering an evening full of swing and emotion. A unique show that will combine the power of a great ensemble with the charisma and talent of an exceptional soloist.
