The Grecotechno performance is a sound fusion between Gregorian chanting and contemporary electronic music. This sound fusion interacts live with visuals of the microcosmos taken from natural sacred sites using microscopic techniques. A meeting point between the repetitive modes of Gregorian chants, the cyclic pulsation of electronic music and the dynamic structures of microscopy visuals.
Gregotechno has been conceived by the Catalan creators Marc Vilajuana (multidisciplinary artist, singer who understands medieval sacred monody), Alejandro Narés (minimalist electronic musician and pianist) and Xavier Arqué (doctor in nano biotechnology specialized in microscopy and audiovisuals).
